	Citrix Presentation Server™ is the industry standard for application virtualization used to deliver client/server line of business applications through a centralized and secure architecture. Presentation Server consists of the most advanced set of technologies that allow organizations to create the on-demand, services-oriented access solution they need to run and grow their business, while significantly reducing IT costs. To virtualize applications, Presentation Server abstracts the user interface (logical layer) from the application processing (physical layer) that occurs on a centralized, secured server. Multi-Platform Support

In Citrix Presentation Server™ 4, Citrix has combined both Windows® and UNIX® product offerings into a single product line that supports six operating-system platforms, which means a single media kit and licensing system. Citrix Presentation Server for UNIX supports Sun Microsystems’ Solaris™ 8, 9, and 10; Hewlett-Packard’s HP-UXÂ® 11 and 11i; and IBM’s AIXÂ® 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3.



Standard Edition
Overview
The Citrix Presentation Server, Standard Edition is an entry-level application virtualization solution for remote access geared toward organizations that deploy Windows-based line of business applications in a single server environment. As the environment expands, the Standard Edition can be upgraded to Enterprise or Advanced Editions. Standard Edition is available for Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 x64, and Windows 2000 Server.

Advanced Edition
Overview
The Citrix Presentation Server, Advanced Edition is an advanced application virtualization solution that provides many of the same Enterprise Edition technologies that ensure an optimal and consistent user access experience, but without some of the scalability, compatibility and management features. Advanced Edition supports multi-server and multi-site environments through advanced application-layer load distribution and extended user mobility.
